Eight Advisory supported Muehlhan Industrial Services on the acquisition of Steigerbouw van der Panne
Eight Advisory provided financial and tax due diligence as well as SPA Advisory services to Muehlhan Industrial Services as part of the transaction.
Muehlhan Industrial Services, founded in 1881 (as Muehlhan), operates as the industrial services arm of the Muehlhan group, specialising in surface protection, passive fire protection, scaffolding, access technology, structural steel and insulation solutions. The wider Muehlhan group is reported to employ over 2,800 people across its subsidiaries globally. This acquisition fits with its strategy of reinforcing its footprint in Europe and the BeNeLux region.
Steigerbouw van der Panne, founded in 1984 by Wout van der Panne, is a family-owned scaffolding and height-access specialist active in Belgium and the Netherlands. It employs between 50 and 99 staff according to public supplier directories. Over time, under the leadership of Rob and Pascal Bos, the company has evolved from managing downtime for its sister shipping business to becoming a full-service scaffolding contractor with strong local reputation for safety, quality and logistical capability.
The acquisition aims at strengthening Muehlhan’s regional service offering, enhancing its presence and capabilities in the Netherlands and Belgium, and combining complementary expertise to support existing and new customers with more integrated scaffolding and access solutions.
