Andera Partners Plans Investment in Sabena Aerospace
French private equity firm Andera Partners filed a notification with the German Federal Cartel Office in August 2026 regarding the acquisition of shares and joint control of Belgian company Sabena Aerospace SA and the Sabena Engineering Group. The proposed transaction concerns the market for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for military and commercial aircraft and remains subject to regulatory review.
Andera Partners is a French private equity investment firm with investment strategies focused on life sciences, mid-cap companies, growth businesses and infrastructure. According to the firm, Andera Partners currently manages approximately €6 billion in assets and has invested in 377 companies in Europe and the United States. In July 2026, Andera Partners also closed its Andera Expansion IV fund with €430 million in commitments, exceeding its initial €350 million hard cap.
Sabena Engineering is a Belgian provider of MRO and engineering services for the civil and military aviation sectors, with roots dating back to 1923 and capabilities covering line and base maintenance, aircraft structures and components, engineering, design and manufacturing, engine services and 24/7 operational support.
