FUNKE has successfully expanded its portfolio offering for students and young professionals.
With a majority investment in the High Five GmbH, the parent company of platforms such as iamstudent.com, studiumfinden.com, and studiwohnen.com, FUNKE grows its footprint in the market and strengthens its existing portfolio consisting of AZUBIYO and Absolventa.
Telescope Advisory Partners (“Telescope”) advised FUNKE Digital GmbH (“FUNKE”) with Commercial Due Diligence services on the acquisition of High Five GmbH, an Austrian-based marketing and housing platform provider for students and young professionals.
iamstudent, the core offering of the High Five GmbH, was founded in 2014 and currently provides thousands of students in the DACH area the opportunity to access specialized student discount vouchers from companies such as Samsung, Sky, Dominos Pizza, and many others.
FUNKE Digital was founded in 2014 and is wholly owned by the FUNKE Mediengruppe. Currently, the company employs more than 500 staff members and holds 11 equity investments centered around the topics of digital media networks and associated products and services.
