capiton partner promotions (Alexander Zamora and Fritjof Franz)

capiton is delighted to announce the promotion to the firm’s partnership of Alexander Zamora and Fritjof Franz.

Alexander Zamora joined capiton in 2015 following his graduation from Harvard Business School, where he received an MBA with high distinction. Prior work experience includes positions at Park Square Capital and Morgan Stanley where he focused on the healthcare sector. Alex has already led two pharma transactions in our fund capiton V (EVP, DEC) and has also signed the first transaction for our new fund caption VI, CNP Group, a manufacturer and distributor of generic pharmaceuticals. He is also the head of our pharma focus sector, a key industry vertical for capiton.

Fritjof Franz joined capiton in 2018 from Hartmann AG, a leading German med-tech company, where he served as Head of Mergers & Acquisitions since 2014. During this time Fritjof managed to develop deep insights into the drivers and growth opportunities within the healthcare market, which serves him well in his role as the partner responsible for the med-tech sector at capiton, a further industry vertical at the heart of capiton’s investment strategy. He has also led the acquisition of GPE, a leading German med-tech company that has already completed two significant bolt-on acquisitions in the first twelve months following the buy-out by capiton.

“Fritjof and Alex have made a tremendous contribution to the firm over the past years, both with their strong industrial know-how but also their drive, commitment and personality. These promotions underscore our commitment to develop talent and represent a further step in the on-going expansion of our leadership team”, comments Manuel Hertweck, Managing Partner of capiton.
