Clearwater International advises MaxSolar on the acquisition of SEAC Group’s photovoltaics project pipeline

Clearwater International has advised MaxSolar GmbH (MaxSolar), a leading German provider of integrated and innovative energy solutions for businesses and communities, on the acquisition of SEAC Group’s (SEAC) photovoltaics project pipeline and associated strategic partnership. This acquisition increases MaxSolar’s development volume, which is over 6.5 GW, and positions the company as one of the largest photovoltaic project developers in the German market.

Headquartered in Traunstein, Germany, MaxSolar focuses on engineering, individual planning, and optimisation of photovoltaic systems. As a general contractor, the company develops holistic energy concepts for municipalities and businesses. Founded in 2009, MaxSolar has more than 170 employees across five locations throughout Germany. With the brands meineWärme, esolution, and Energy Partners, the company’s offering includes the planning, construction, and operation of photovoltaic and energy storage systems, charging infrastructure, as well as wind and heat solutions, for integrated systems.

SEAC, based in Hebertsfelden, Germany, is an integrated project developer and plant operator for ecological, high-quality, energy plants, in the areas of photovoltaics and wind power. In addition, the company’s portfolio comprises large-scale battery storage and charging infrastructure solutions. SEAC’s projects are characterised by sustainable added value for citizens, communities, and the environment.

Through this cooperation, both companies are significantly expanding their services, offering ground-mounted photovoltaic systems, which strengthens their market position by combining profound experience and expertise. Together, MaxSolar and SEAC are ideally positioned to expand their portfolio in a rapidly growing market. With their energy solutions, municipalities, and companies in particular, can proceed with the transition to renewable energies in a decentralised manner and a secure supply of electricity and heat, locally.

„Thanks to the great support of Clearwater, we are delighted to be able to deepen our partnership with SEAC and further accelerate the expansion of renewable energies in Germany. SEAC’s impressive project pipeline fits perfectly with our portfolio and philosophy. With a pipeline of over 6.5 GW and development taking place in-house across Germany, we can set new standards in the market.“ – Christoph Strasser, CEO, MaxSolar

„MaxSolar and SEAC have a very good, long-standing, and trusted cooperation. Together, we can drive forward the energy transition, ensure a reliable and sustainable energy supply, and make an important contribution to the economy. Through the cooperation with MaxSolar in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, we, the SEAC Group, can increasingly use our many years of experience and core competencies regionally, again.“ – Abdelilah Zaafarane, CEO, SEAC Group
