Clearwater International advises Waterland Private Equity on raising finance to support the acquisition of Duvenbeck

Clearwater International has advised Waterland Private Equity (Waterland) on raising finance to support the acquisition of Duvenbeck Group (Duvenbeck), one of Europe’s leading providers of transport and logistics solutions.

Founded in 1932 and headquartered in Bocholt, North Rhine-Westphalia, Duvenbeck is a full-service logistics provider in the areas of conception, forwarding and contract logistics. The company has a total of 33 locations in eight countries, while it also offers cross-docking, sequencing and trailer yards. Duvenbeck operates a pool of more than 1,500 owned trucks, which are primarily used for automotive and industrial customers as well as the agricultural vehicle industry. The company’s sales have increased more than sevenfold in the past 15 years.

Waterland is an independent private equity investment group that supports entrepreneurs in realising their growth ambitions. With substantial financial resources and industry expertise, Waterland enables its portfolio companies to achieve accelerated growth both organically and through acquisitions.

„Once again, the Clearwater International team was able to exceed our expectations in this complex transaction and was committed to achieving the best possible outcome for their clients. We are thankful for this great support during the financing and look forward to working with them on further projects.“ – Philipp Reinke, Investment Director, Waterland Private Equity

„Clearwater International is very pleased to have supported Waterland in this complex transaction which, given the size of the company, required the arrangement of a variety of debt roll-overs next to setting up a bank club for the acquisition financing.“ – Dr. Heinrich Kerstien, Managing Partner, Clearwater International
