Deloitte acted as exclusive financial advisor to ZEISS Group in the sale of Carl Zeiss Automated Inspection GmbH (future Newston Automated Solutions GmbH) to Callista Private Equity GmbH
About the transaction
The Deloitte team led by Alexander C. Bielig (M&A Advisory) and Egon Sachsalber (Transactions Services) acted as exclusive financial M&A advisor and factbook provider to ZEISS in the sale of its subsidiary Carl Zeiss Automated Inspection GmbH (“the Company”), a technology solutions provider in the inline inspection market, to Callista Private Equity GmbH (“Callista”). Deloitte provided a wide range of services, including M&A Advisory (Alexander C. Bielig, Christoph Madea, Tim Kamper) and Transaction Services (Egon Sachsalber, Fabio Grassi, Lukas Clemens) including a Financial Factbook, a comprehensive support through preparation, due diligence, and contract negotiations
Headquartered in Neuenstein, Germany, the Company specializes in projecting inline inspection systems.
Going forward, the Company will operate under the name “Newston Automated Solutions GmbH” (“Newston”). “The aim is to utilize and further expand Newston’s excellent market position. The company’s well-filled order book provides a strong starting point for this” says Christopher Irion, Managing Director at Callista.
