Groundbirds, a portfolio company of IceLake, has acquired GfS Gesellschaft für Straßenunterhaltung from Finatem Beteiligungsgesellschaft. GfS is a road maintenance provider, specialised in repair, maintenance and construction of guardrail systems as well as traffic control.

Groundbirds is an infra services consortium focusing on high value, specialized services on or around the road within Europe.

The strategic leadership of GfS-group will remain in the hands of the management-team, Michael Matzka, Carmen Linder and Thomas Mildner, who will hold a significant stake in GroundBirds.
