Ludwig & Co advised the insolvency administrator Dr. Martin Obermüller of Brandhoff Obermüller Partner on the sale of Erzgebirgische Fluss  und Schwerspatwerke (EFS) to Sachtleben Minerals

This transaction preserves the full operational capacity of EFS – including its underground mining in Niederschlag and surface processing plant in Aue – and secures existing jobs at the company.

This acquisition enables Sachtleben Minerals to strengthen its position in European fluorspar and barite markets.

Erzgebirgische Fluss- und Schwerspatwerke (EFS) is a German mining company operating a underground mine in Niederschlag near Oberwiesenthal, Saxony.
