Rhein Invest Announces Successful Transition of Spiegel Institut to Visteon Corporation
Rhein Invest is pleased to announce the successful sale of its portfolio company, Spiegel Institut, to Visteon Corporation (NASDAQ: VC), a U.S.-listed global leader in automotive cockpit technology.
Headquartered in Mannheim, Germany, Spiegel Institut is a market-leading user experience (UX) consultancy specializing in Human-Machine Interface (HMI) development for premium automotive OEMs.
“Visteon’s partnership is an honour for us – and a great opportunity”, says Dr. Andree Kang, CEO of Spiegel Institut. “We are gaining a strong partner with whom we can scale and further develop our expertise globally – while staying true to who we are”.
Under Rhein Invest’s ownership and in close partnership with Dr. Andree Kang, the company achieved several strategic milestones. These included the successful succession of the founding shareholders, expansion of its service portfolio, and the completion of an add-on acquisition to strengthen its position along the value chain.
As a result of these initiatives, Spiegel Institut experienced significant growth—achieving a 140% revenue increase and more than tripling its EBITDA over the past four years.
“We are deeply grateful to Dr. Andree Kang and the entire Spiegel Institut team for their dedication and collaboration over the past four years,” said Kevin Heerema, founder of Rhein Invest. “We are confident that Visteon is the ideal strategic partner to support Spiegel Institut’s continued growth. This partnership exemplifies our hands-on investment approach and our ability to professionalize and scale SME businesses.”
