Mittelstandsfonds II, advised by Triton, has acquired a majority stake in Kälte Eckert Group, a pioneer of natural refrigerant-based refrigeration technology in Germany, and is investing together with the current management team Michael and Holger Eckert.
Providing customers with sustainable refrigeration solutions is one of the key requirements in order to differentiate in the highly competitive German refrigeration engineering market.
With the acquisition of Kälte Eckert GmbH, Triton Partners has realized the platform transaction to create a network of complementary companies, which offer high-quality refrigeration engineering services, with a special regard to sustainable climate technology.
Kälte Eckert was founded in 1966 and is a provider of customized, high-quality, environmentally friendly refrigeration and air conditioning systems for corporate and private customers. For over 40 years, the group has pioneered solutions based on natural refrigerants in the industry and covers the entire value chain from consulting, planning, engineering, installation, maintenance to after-sales service.
“We strongly believe in the structural change and ongoing growth of the refrigeration and cooling market. After assessing the regulatory implications on the sector and seeing Eckert’s growth, we believe this asset to be in a good position to continue its expansion” – says Simon Fischer, Managing Partner at Telescope Advisory Partners.
The Telescope Advisory Partners team advised Triton with Commercial Due Diligence services on this acquisition.
