capiton AG announces the promotions of Mara Stock, Alexander Marxen to Partner and Daniel Genin to Investment Manager

Mara Stock has been with the company for 10 years and started her career as an Investment Analyst in 2013. She has risen through the ranks following her involvement in several successful portfolio companies, including Prefere Resins. Mara also managed the fundraise for our most recent fund, Project Quantum, a € 250 million continuation vehicle closed in January 2023 and is driving our diversity initiatives, which include sponsoring an MBA for a female investment professional at ESMT. Mara completed her studies in Economics at HSG and Free University Berlin and holds a Master’s degree in Finance.

Alexander Marxen joined capiton’s deal team in 2010 and gained experience across a range of portfolio firms, but made a particular mark at Schur Flexibles, a buy and build project in the flexible packaging industry. He left the firm for personal reasons and returned in 2022 to help lead capiton’s finance function. Alexander holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of St. Andrews and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from EBS European Business School (Oestrich-Winkel).

Daniel Genin joined capiton as an Associate in 2020. Prior to this, he was part of Credit Suisse’s M&A Team focussing on mid-market transaction in the DACH region. Daniel’s strong analytical skills have already made a strong impact at the portfolio firms he is supporting. Daniel holds an MBA from WHU and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Mannheim.
